Get involved in the development of the Shasta Region's first region-wide active transportation plan: GoShasta!
The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency and City of Redding are in the final phases of a year-long planning process to improve active transportation in the City of Redding and in the Shasta Region as a whole. Once complete, the GoShasta Regional and City of Redding Active Transportation Plans will provide a coordinated approach to improving active transportation by reducing barriers for people walking and bicycling, identifying potential projects, and supporting safe pedestrian and bicycle connections.
The final public input phase includes online and in-person participation and closes October 29, 2017.
The public is encouraged to provide input online at www.goshasta.org. The GoShasta website provides:
The proposed pedestrian and bicycle networks;
Actions for achieving these networks; and
An interactive map that allows users to comment on the proposed networks.
Visit with project team staff developing both plans to comment on proposed pedestrian and bicycle networks and supporting policies and programs. Drop by one of two information stations to discuss biking and walking and provide your comments:
