Annual Report on the Obligation of Federal Transportation Funds
Per federal regulations, SRTA is responsible for publicly posting the use of federal transportation funds obligated, or awarded, for the prior federal fiscal year (FFY) within 90 days of the ending of the year. Federal fiscal years run from October 1 to September 30 of the subsequent year. Thus, by the end of the calendar year, SRTA posts a summary of both streets & roads (including bicycle lanes and pedestrian walkways) projects awarded during the year, as well as public transit funds. These awards are from the U.S. Department of Transportation. For FYY 2017-18, the net federal transportation fund use in the Shasta region was $122+ million.
