SRTA, as a recipient of US Department of Transportation funds, establishes a goal for the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) within federally-funded contracting opportunities. The annual goal is updated triennially and is accompanied with a goal-setting methodology. Additionally, SRTA must report contracting activity for itself, and its sub-recipients, twice per year to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). Caltrans subsequently reports that activity to the Federal Transit Administration. FY 2015-17 DBE Goal and Methodology SRTA developed a 5.1% DBE goal and methodology for Federal Fiscal Years (FFYs) 2015-17, after a public review and business/agency consultation period in summer 2015. Caltrans approved the goal and methodology on August 17, 2015.
