Out for Public Comment: ResilientShasta Extreme Climate Event Mobility and Adaptation Plan

A triptych showing three different extreme weather events (snow, wildfire, and flooding).

The draft ResilientShasta Extreme Climate Event Mobility and Adaptation Plan is out for public comment. The plan aims to improve the safety, resiliency, and efficiency of our regional transportation system during extreme weather events.

The plan has been developed into a two-step process.  The first was to develop a vulnerability assessment to identify future vulnerabilities in two different possible scenarios. The adaptation plan provides practical strategies for mitigating these impacts.  The next step will be to integrate stakeholder feedback and combine the draft documents into a final report to be presented to the SRTA board of directors for adoption at an upcoming board meeting.

For more information and/or to leave feedback, contact Michael Kuker at mkuker@srta.ca.gov
