The ResilientShasta Plan Has Been Approved

A triptych showing three different extreme weather events (snow, wildfire, and flooding).

SRTA is pleased to report the ResilientShasta Extreme Climate Event Mobility and Adaptation Plan has been finalized and approved by the SRTA Board of Directors.  This represents the culmination of a 33-month effort.  The plan was primarily funded by a 2019/20 Caltrans Adaptation Planning Grant.  ResilientShasta consists of two components: a vulnerability assessment that evaluates future conditions under two possible scenarios and an adaptation plan to address more frequent and severe extreme weather events related to climate change. SRTA will work with regional partners to identify and pursue state and federal funding opportunities to help implement the adaptation strategies identified in the plan.

More information, including links to download the report, is available by visiting the project page (https://www.srta.ca.gov/320/ResilientShasta).
