The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) seeks proposals for projects that combine mixed use land development and multi-modal transportation infrastructure and services. The selected proposal will receive pre-development technical assistance and grant writing services. An initial budget of $120,000 has been estimated. A higher amount may be recommended (up to $175,000) if the proposed scope of work is critical to the project, the project concept is believed to be highly competitive for future capital grant funding, and there is a substantial combined cash and in-kind match from the developer, the city of Redding, and/or other interested entities.
Only one project in the Downtown Redding strategic growth area will be selected (see boundary map attached to the request for proposals). The selected proposal will then compete for up to $20 million in Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program funds to be used for land development and transportation infrastructure and programs resulting in reduced vehicle miles traveled.
Qualified developers, in conjunction with an appropriate team of technical consultants, are invited to submit a project concept and technical scope of work in accordance with this request for proposals.
